ARK Trust International Award
In its March-April 2001 issue, ASIAN
Geographic ran a feature entitled "Bear Witness" which highlighted the bear rescue efforts of Jill Robinson in Sichuan, China. The Ark Trust, Inc., a US-based non-profit organisation devoted to raising public awareness on animal-protection issues, honoured ASIAN
Geographic with the 2001 Genesis Award for chronicling the heartbreaking torture of Asiatic black bears in China.
