The longest beard measures 2.495 metres, and belongs to Sarwan Singh, Canada.
“Without my beard, I’m not me. I’m pretending to be someone I’m not.”
7. The Most Fingers and Toes on a Living Person
The most fingers and toes (polydactyly) on a living person is 28, which belong to Devendra Suthar, India. He has 14 fingers and 14 toes.
A carpenter, Devendra says that the extra fingers don’t affect his work, though he has to be extra careful when cutting!
6. The Longest Hair in the World
The world’s longest documented hair belongs to Xie Qiuping, China, at 5.627m.
5. The Longest Fingernails on a Single Hand
The longest fingernails on a single hand measure an aggregate length of 909.6 cm and were achieved by Shridhar Chillal, India, on his left hand.
The nails are on Shridhar Chillal’s left hand and have individual measurements of
- Little finger: 179.1 cm
- Ring finger: 181.6 cm
- Middle finger: 186.6 cm
- Index finger: 164.5 cm
- Thumb: 197.8 cm
4. The Tallest Married Couple in the World
The tallest married couple is Sun Mingming and his wife Xu Yan, both from China, who measure 236.17cm and 187.3cm respectively, having a combined height of 423.47 cm.
Sun Mingming also holds the record for the tallest basketball player (current). He plays for the Heilongjiang provincial men’s basketball team. Xu Yan plays handball for the Heilongjiang provincial women’s team.
3. The Shortest Woman (Mobile) in the World
The shortest woman living (mobile) is Jyoti Amge, India, born 16 Dec 1993, who measures 62.8 cm.
“Getting this record has made me feel better about myself,” says Jyoti. “I feel popular, special and important.”
2. The Youngest Female with a Full Beard
The youngest female with a full beard is Harnaam Kaur, UK, who was age 24 years 282 days when she was confirmed to have a full beard.
She is an avid body confidence and anti-bullying activist.
1. The Oldest Person Living in the World
The oldest person living (female) is Kane Tanaka, Japan, born 2 January 1903 and aged 177 years, in Fukuoka, Japan. Kane Tanaka is also the oldest person living.
Tanaka, whose birthday was on January 2, took a bite from a slice of her big birthday cake:
“Tasty,” she said with a smile. “I want some more.”
